ABOUT US - PRIORITY ONE CIC

Providing good quality, affordable housing is at the heart of what we do.

Welcome to PRIORITY ONE CIC - BLACKPOOL

Priority One CIC was created to answer the growing homelessness crisis in Blackpool, as well as help to prepare for the impact the Coronavirus pandemic will continue to have on the community, further homelessness and unemployment over the next few years.

Our mission is to build sustainable communities where people choose to live, and as a not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest any surplus we make back into our housing and services.

There has never been a more critical time to provide high quality housing and intensive support for people in need in Blackpool. The Covid pandemic has escalated an already demanding situation where it is estimated that over 320,000 people are facing homelessness and potentially more as the fallout from Covid is fully realised.

Since its formation Priority ONE CIC has been on a passionate and committed journey to provide high quality accommodation and much needed support within the town, to support vulnerable and homeless communities as well as people in other areas of crisis.

Priority ONE CIC has a clear strategy and ethos underpinned by a commitment we help to provide positive change and improve vulnerable people's chances of a better life.

Our Mission is to empower people not impoverish them and therefore everything we do is person-led. By listening and understanding each individual’s situation, we can help to provide a suitable home and the appropriate support to suit the needs of the individual, giving them a better chance of maintaining their tenancy.

We aim to provide an excellent, customer-friendly service with a 'can do' attitude. We are also committed to running our business in an ethical and socially responsible way to ensure we contribute positively to the future of Blackpool and its citizens. We believe that this vision will not be achieved unless we respond positively to the wide social diversity in Blackpool and reflect this in our own day to day activity.

What we expect from our tenants:

All of our residents sign a tenancy agreement before they move in to their new home. This sets out what we have to do as a landlord to keep your home in good repair and to look after you as our valued tenant. As one of our residents, you also have certain responsibilities which can be found in your tenancy agreement, but in brief, you must:

• Pay your rent on time.

• Live in harmony with your neighbours.

• Keep the inside of your home in good order.

• Maintain your private garden if you have one.

• Avoid anything that will put your tenancy in jeopardy.

We want our tenants experience with us to be a joy and we plan to be here for the long term. Welcome to Priority ONE CIC - Contact us today if you need help and support on 07846 312106.
